STEER CLEAR!! We signed the contracts to have a Composite door and frame fitted and French doors put in to replace the existing window in June 2018, they were fitted in August 2018. They came to fit the front door 1st, I was asked to pay half way through the fitting, Andy seemed like a nice man so I did, his fitter only styed for about an hour after this, leaving us with only the screws holding it in place and open around the frames edges. We had to keep ringing to pin them down as to when it was going to be finished it took over a week! This was to become a pattern and on a couple of occasions he started shouting at me and repeatedly hanging up, this then left me anxious when having to contacting him from then on. We have had numerous problems with both of the doors, way too many to go into, one being that the door and frame had been originally fitted too low down and had to be re-fitted/lifted because it was letting in water. The composite door is also warped and has let draughts in from more or less day one, of which Andy is aware! he kept fobbing us off all of this time having told us on numerous occasions that he had ordered us a new slab, or the suppliers would be in touch, neither has happened. The doors are supposed to come with a 10 year guarantee, this is what they are advertised as having. We have said that we are prepared to just accept a new slab and forget the problems to the French doors and that our contract was with him not his suppliers, but he has now told us that HE will not be replacing the door. Unfortunately we are now going to have to take this matter further.
