Had an orangery built and all new windows and doors installed, including 3 sets of french doors by Simon Brown/ Simon Horsefield 4 years ago. Had problems all the way though the build. About 18 months ago the flat roof of the orangery started to leak, the ceiling was mouldy and before long was unusable as water was dripping through the lights. Simon Horsefield originally said he would come out and have a look at it but never showed up after my partner had to take a day off work to wait in. He then said He was no longer working with Simon Brown. I sent them photos of the damage inside but Simon Brown refused to fix the problem because my partner had written a bad review about him. I contacted my insurance who sent out an assessor. He said that I could not claim as it was due to "poor workmanship". I have since written to Simon Brown but have had no reply. I have had to have a new roof, ceiling and lights and new flooring at a cost of £2500!! I have also had to replace a £3000 pair of sofas as the rooflight was not fitted with UV filter glass!! I have never been given any certificates for the replacement windows or doors as they aren't registered with Fensa or similar company, so will cost me again if I want to sell!

Absolutely ruined our life and house. Glued on door handles. Doors fitted back to front. Leaking roof. 3 floors and there still uneven and sloping. Mould and damp. Having to go to court. 0 stars. He ripped me off and didn't pay building construction. I've been destroyed. Avoid his firm!

What a joke this company is. Especially Simon Brown. Had problems with the build from day 1 and the roof is leaking now. Can't contact the man and doesn't return calls but then threatens when you have the cheek to write a review on these sites. Sorry Simon but if you don't reply or be reasonable then this is what happens!!!!!!!!!

Had simon brown construction or should i say duraclad his company he could it before had a single storey extension done and the actual lads who worked on it was good apart from the plumber he sub contracted any after it was completed started to get a horrible smell from one of the new rooms. What had happened was when they removed the downpipe they didnt fill it in properly so contact simon and he got one of his lads done did a rubbish job as the smell was still there bit of expendable form didnt work anyway this was june 2014 we have just put our house on the market and didnt get a gas safer cert or even building regs completion letter saying it had been signed off but did receive a letter from building regs saying needed the gas safety cert abd the electric cert which i did get i did ring simon on this matter and he said he would sort it . So needed the building regs certificate and too my surprise after ringing them this is sept 2016 by the way over two years since i had the work done by simon brown only to find out that he hadnt sent the certificates off and the building work still hasnt been signed off by building regs which is absolutely disgusting. I wouldnt let this man even touch my wendy house avoid at all costs and by the oooks of it he us still up to his old tricks taking bad reviews off sites and leaving the good ones AVOID HIM AND HIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS SHOCKING
