We livein a Grade 2 listed building (Built in the late18th century) that we put on the house market. When a buyer's survey returned it indicated that there were significant problems with the five chimneys and 70% of the roof was a concern. plus there was lots of re-pointing to the external walls to be done. We also wanted new window frames to the front of the house. We contacted several builders and elected to appoint KC Roofing because of their understanding of the vagaries associated with a listed building such as using lime mortar throughout all the building work. The company put us in touch with a window replacement company called Pear Tree Windows who took us through the process of contacting the Conservation Officer to check on the design and size, and gaining planning consent etc. The windows are made of wood and have been factory finished. They look amazing. Brilliant. There were four builders who worked in pairs. They were all very well mannered, considerate of our still living in the house, polite, always cheerful and arrived on time. Could not fault their work or their attitude. All the works completed are of an extremely high standard and we have received many complimentary remarks about the changed image of the house. Even a near neighbour commented on the standard of the re- pointing and employed the same company to do some work on his property. We would highly recommend this comapany.
