This company has now vanished but amazingly there is a new company - Element Windows - in the very same premises. What a coincidence. When Chase Windows recently disappeared it left customers like me with no one to carry out guarantee work or handle queries, or even handle the phones (all the numbers I have just ring out). I have used the firm before but this last job was just appalling! The worst installation I could imagine. Nearly one year from order to completion. Among other problems, the front door didn't fit (by a country mile) - it was the wrong colour and had the wrong type of glass fitted. But the replacement took months to have altered and refitted. Don't touch with a barge pole.
Gary Woodhatch has now closed Chase windows and not finished our installation. He has another windows company Budget (Element windows) in St Albans. I can't believe that he can get away with shutting one company to get rid of guarantees and debt and get away with it. I have contacted DGOS the insurance company and complained. This guy is a crook!!

AWFUL customer service post purchase. Customer treated with contempt..... Never again will i use this company.
We orders a timber front door from Chase window in Feb 2019 and it got delivered and installed in September. We had issue with the color and it took nearly 8 months to sort the right color.
After the installation we had issues with door sagging due to incorrect hinges, which chipped a lot of very expensive paint.
The door knocker bolt weren't large enough so they just decided to glue the back screws on
The letter plate hole if too big and incorrectly cut not no letterplate can fit properly and the bolt cannot be secured.
This has to be the worst company I ever dealt with , very unprofessional absolutely doesn't have a clue as to what they are doing. The after sales service is appalling and the DGCOS guarantee is worthless as they could help us with all out issue. We are going to go to small claims court to get all out money back and replace the door.
They outsource the manufacturing and do not even do a check the finish product before its send to customer for installation .
Company was commissioned to install an 8 m wide, floor to ceiling set of patio sliders and to also install a front door plus glass side panel for a project. The install was sadly very much flawed and required doors for patio to be taken down and refitted. During this process the doors and glass sustained damages throughout as these were placed unprotected on the grounds of a building site. I was offered a ‘glass doctor’ to remedy these initial cosmetic defects and promised the doors will be ‘as good as new’. It was clear that the doors were not just cosmetically flawed however, but incorrectly installed as water was penetrating in and doors rattle with wind gusts. The company has sadly failed to make good any of these issues. 1 year on the paint correction on patio doors had changed colour and texture. Parts of the patio doors continue to come. The front door has parts coming off also and cracks are appearing on the front panel. Company was called again but I was just fobbed off.
One of the worse companies I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
Bought bi fold doors and a large window. Went with the company as the owner Gary told me it would be a 2 week lead time. Took my money then told me 8 weeks.
Changed the installation date and turned up on the first day with only one door. Fitted the bi folds at different levels even though the floor was installed first. One bi fold was fitted above the level of the door.
Door was also damaged so had to be replaced.
On the day of the window installation they turned up without the window! They had to drive back to the warehouse to get the window and then, surprise surprise it was too big, even though they conducted the survey.
Their customer service is awful, they never call you back and the installation manager is just rude and dismissive.
I would never use this company again and just hope know one has to experience the stress and bad experience we have suffered
We have used Chase twice. The first was a big job around £30k using Origin (great product) windows to replace an existing conservatory/orangery. The job overran by several weeks and there were ongoing problems with leaks which were eventually fixed after several months. At the end of the day we gave them the benefit of the doubt as the end product was very good. We decided to use them again on our new house to replace most of the windows. After paying the deposit, they forgot to book in the job and order the manufacture. So instead of a 6 week lead in we had a 12 week lead in. When they eventually turned up, they arrived with white windows instead of the anthracite windows we had ordered. They had already removed our bay windows so we lived with hastily installed white windows for almost 3 weeks before they eventually turned up with the correct colour windows. They also arrived with the wrong window handles - three times. We had paid a premium for a particular style of handle, which eventually provided several weeks later.
Such a disappointing service we are looking elsewhere for our next project (extension & loft).
My wife and I are delighted with the Maranti hardwood sash windows which Chase Windows designed and fitted in 2013. They function perfectly and slide smoothly. They also look fantastic.
Every experience and interaction we have had with Chase Windows, from the initial meeting with the sales team in the shop, right through to installation and after care, has been excellent. We have recommended them to our neighbours and they too have been delighted.

Had new timber windows fitted by Chase in December 2015 and overall the service was pretty good.
When one of the window panes got broken in a storm earlier this year, I called Chase to see about a replacement. The broken glass was one of two on our landing window and was an obscure glass. The fitter came out and replaced it but it was at this point that I noticed that it was not matching glass to the original one fitted.
When I questioned this with the office, they offered me the explanation that it is the same glass but one is made in England and one in Poland? Surely its a different glass then?
Either way, I was not satisfied and I was given the option of putting up with it or paying for another pane of glass. This was not the resolution that I was looking for and when I questioned this, their response was to simply ignore the email and not deal with it.
Shoddy service from Chase which is a shame because we would have considered using them again for future installations at our property.
Good job in general. Quality windows, really clean builders who tidied up after themselves nicely and were respectful of our home. My only niggle (that prevented 5* rating) was the caulking was not the best in some places. I did ask the guy to re do it but I just don't think it was his thing, so I gave up in the end. I'll have to re go over some bits myself (and it's not my strong point either!). A high quality finish would have just given it that edge. But otherwise very pleased with the job. Than you.
From initial enquiry through to successful completion chase windows have been professional courteous knowledgable and highly skilled and motivated.
Would not hesitate to recommend to others
Well done and thank you
We're so pleased. We now have an immaculate orangery with full glass roof, sliding doors etc.
A complex job. Not phased at all by complications, and there were a few. Some delay due to their suppliers - it happens - but Chase rescheduled things and kept us informed. In the week before Xmas plasterers, fitters and electrician all worked flat out in freezing weather to give us a near complete room. And no last minute extra charges. Brilliant.
Thank you Gary (and Jake and Chris)
Wooden sash windows. A very professional service and the installation completed within the specified time.
Pleased with quality of product ;the hall is a lot warmer than previously. Excellent installation nothing too much trouble for the installers.
Chase Window Company provided and installed all of our windows, our bi-fold door and our front door.
From the outset, I was very impressed with Gary Woodhatch's product knowledge and professionalism. Gary was very understanding of our requirements. He was patient, accommodating and guided us through the whole process from design to installation.
The price was very competitive with other companies but the service we received from Gary, his team of fitters, operations and after care team has definitely been first class. I would not hesitate to recommend Chase Window Company to friends and family.
1st class service , fitters came did the job in a very professional way, tidied up after every days work & removed the rubbish after completing to job . Very happy client
This is an excellent service my doors look great the work carried out was quick and very clean and tidy.
My fitter was very friendly and knowledgeable
The overall price was very competitive with the other leading companies
I am very happy with the finished result
Very pleased with all aspects of the work we had done by Chase Window Company.
Installation of hardwood windows
As a layperson I can only say that the windows look good .
The team came somewhat later than expected due to traffic. They were efficient and polite.
The work took all of 25th and the morning of 26th February.
If I could give them no stars I would - appalling from start to finish. Bad product, hideous service levels and shocking customer communications (over a year since I first ordered my front door, still not satisfied with it and not once have they proactively called me to inform me of the issues, it has always been me contacting them). If I could return a new front door I would!
Wouldn't use them to fit a cat flap let alone another door or window in my home.
Don't use them!

Had 3 quotes for replacing old aluminium frame Windows into upvc sash and Chase were in the middle on price but being local to me and knowing they had done windows to similar period properties gave me confidence they would take care with the installation so didn't mind paying a bit more of a premium. Waiting times were roughly inline with expectations although they potentially wanted to wait till the new year but we wanted them in before Christmas. They arrived on time and were very quick, tidy and took proper care of our home. A minor fault with a lock on 1 (out of 5) did take a few weeks to sort out but as soon as I said I wouldn't pay the final balance until it was rectified we had no problems and it was fixed within a couple of days! We are very happy with the results all in all.
Having spent over £30,000 with this company on a previous property and they did a reasonably good job, we thought we would use them again on our new property.
But the company has changed. The customer service is appalling, they got measurements wrong, turned up late, on two occasions of the job, turned up so late try worked in the dark even after being asked not too, they upset neighbours, created damage to other parts of the property, kept sending different workmen to complete the same job. We had to take extra time off work to be there to get job completed after all their mistakes.
All the fitters were nice and tried their best but the management of the company is appalling.
After spending so much money and being a loyal customer giving them repeat business never again. They caused so much stress and aggrevation to so many people, our advise is go elsewhere.
Even giving them more than one chance to rectify their mistakes, they still messed up big time.
If you want good service avoid Chase Windows.

We have just used Chase Window Company for the second time and are just as pleased as the first time. We had bi folding doors installed, a side door and sash window and all look fabulous. The service was excellent and punctual. One minor problem was rectified very quickly. We would definitely recommend this company to our friends.
Appalling customer service. Completely inexistent. Good product and fitters but completely let down by head office. Don't bother with them. Plenty of other companies out there
We commissioned Chase Windows to replace our 1930's style windows after looking around at several companies. Despite being some distance away, they took time to come and discuss our requirements, talk through their products and were very helpfull. Their price was competative, and the windows delivered were excellent.
The installation itself was trouble free, with no mess left behind, and my first reaction when I came home to see them was 'have they been?' There was no redecorating needed, and the fitters were very efficient.
Many people don't realise we have had our orignal windows replaced, such is the likeness of the new ones.
We are very happy with the result and will use them again. Thanks you Karl, Gary and the team.
I like Chase Company and their product over all but having used them 4 times now to install windows and doors, the huge delays and problems we have had each time have mounted. This last installation has taken six months from start to finish, it should have been 8 weeks (ordered in August 2014, completed in February 2015) Despite giving them all this business, customer service is poor. I am sad to say I wouldn't recommend using them at this point in time
Good at taking your money and installing the product, unfortunately not so quick to rectify any problems which may occur afterwards.

Replacement windows summer 2014, excellent product and well fitted. Would thoroughly recommend!
Very competitive quote, prompt and excellent customer service. V satisfied.
Friendly staff, great quality product and excellent work by the fitters. Only let down was failure to keep appointments and keep me informed of delays. Not a cheap product but worth the price and for the high quality work of fitters.
