I may well have given 5 stars, if I had ever had a door fitted by IDM.
Someone from IDM came to measure up to fit a new front door in April 2018 and that they would be in touch with the quote. Chased IDM up twice in May, once in June and twice again in July. Each time I was offered an apology and that someone would be calling back ASAP, however I have still not received that call.
Even if the offer was on the table for a door to be fitted tomorrow, I would not take it. If I were to have an issue with a door that had been fitted, how could I be assured that anyone would ever come out?
IDM's communication skills need some improvement!

Great service, from initial internet enquiry, salesman visit wasn't pushy, to getting Dave out at 6am to do a survey! Installation guys were great and turned up when they said they would, very polite and often explained what they were doing, cleaned up after themselves. Finished product looks great and the door and glass has become much talked about on our street. Did have a couple of snags that needed attention and these were dealt with straight away by Dave and very efficiently. Certainly will recommend. Great job guys, thanks a lot.
At the outset this firm appeared professional and well setup. The rep managed to give me a good sense of assurance and gave me confidence to place an order; the price seemed very reasonable.The installation was ok, but some small details gave me cause for concern. A wrong handle was fitted to one window, and the door did not seem to be fitted perfectly. The general quality of fitting was just about acceptable. They eventually sent someone around to put right the problems. Then I was informed that I had to pay an extra £40 for an insurance policy for warranty cover in the event the company went bust; the rep told me the company would pay for this, I was mis-informed.
I would not use this company again, simply dont trust them.

After going through a number of appointments with various other companies that were camped out in my lounge for hours trying to get me to sign up there and then with ridiculous offers and discounts, I decided to go with Kevin at IDM who was very professional and polite, explained all about the windows and door and gave me a sensible price for the quality of product.
I was very impressed with the installation, the uniformed fitters arrived when they said they would, and were very courteous and respectful of our property

I recently used IDM for a replacement composite front door and french doors at the rear of the property. From my initial contact with Kevin, to him attending to discuss my requirements, through to dealing with Dave and the guys who called to fit, they were nothing but friendly and very professional and all at a great price!
Kevin helped us make the right decision, without being pushy in any way and the two guys who installed the doors had a bit of a job on their hands but were courteous and hard working throughout.
I am thoroughly pleased with my new doors and have already recommended Kevin and IDM to friends.
I was wary about buying the windows as you hear so many stories regarding the sales people and companies, but I have to say IDM were so professional. Within a couple of hours I received a call from Kevin to arrange an appointment for the very next day. During the appointment Kevin made some suggestions but was never over the top pushing the sale, when they say you buy people this is so true, I had 2 other quotes and wouldn't consider them due to the sales people. I had all my windows and a door replaced, the fitters were professional and punctual and always checked I was happy with the finished product. I had an initial quote from Everest and was very dissapointed by the price and service. I then went through a 'recommend a tradesman' site and within ten minutes Kevin from IDM was on the phone. The following day he came round for a cup of tea and an hour later we were shaking hands on a deal for a new composite front and back door. The doors have now been fitted and they look amazing. From the very start, the proffesionalism of Kevin, Dave and the IDM team has been first class. My wife has now insisted that I have Kevin back over to quote on new windows! The workmen were punctual, efficient and couteous. They were also very flexible - making adaptations to the original plan where required/possible. A new front door and new kitchen window plus french doors were installed to my property. I found the service excellent workmen were punctual and curteous . I am very pleased with the products nothing was too much trouble and would recommend this company to my friends and family.
I ordered a composite front door and side panel in early january and just over two weeks later it was ready for installation. It took 4 to 5 hours to take out the old door and fit the new one. The fitter was polite and courteous and did a good job.
I am very pleased with the appearance and quality of the door.
I had several quotes from other companies but IDM was the most competitive and they delivered what they promised. I highly recommend them.
