I bought the house previously mentioned. We have had nothing but problems since moving in. Mr Burns was qyick to take our money, we have been left with a balcony that leaks as does every shower, the bath and two out of the four sinks. There is water ingress through every external door. The kitchen cabinets are squint and the work tops have come away from the wall. Mr Burns is now refusing to address any of the above issues. I was in the process of purchasing a property from Mr John Burns. The property was Plot 1 (Number 3) Park View, Tranent Mains Road, Tranent, East Lothian, EH33 1EW. After the original offer was accepted my solicitor and I waited for over 5 weeks before his solicitor finally forwarded the land surveys and other paperwork to us. This immediately showed up a problem that Mr Burns had hidden from me. Mr Burns didn't own all the land the house was built on and there was a mine shaft in the front garden. We tried to negoiate with Mr Burns to have the land that he didn't own fenced off and a new price agreed, but Mr Burns refused to fence off the land and was adament that he could sell it as is. My solicitor thought this was ludicris and we withdrew the offer but I hope he doesn't trick anyone else into purchasing this property as he would be selling land he doesn't own! Buyer beware of this property at EH33 1EW !!!!!
